1.Tell us about yourself, your family, your occupation, hobbies/interests.

My husband and I have been married 22 yrs. I have 4 children and 15 grands with #16 coming soon. I am a retired nurse of 30+ yrs. I enjoy gardening and spending time with grands while they are still young and fun.

2. When do you start CrossFitting? Why did you start? Why do you continue now?
July 2020 I started Cross Fit to become more fit, I continue to stay in shape and I like challenges

3. Do you remember your first WOD? What were your thoughts after your first WOD?
I thought it was brutal and that I was more out of shape than I thought.


4. What do you enjoy most about CrossFit?
The friendships, the philosophy, the coaches, and the competitive nature of the work outs.


5. What is your proudest CrossFit moment?
Most improved athlete of the year.

6. What is your favorite movement or lift? What is your least favorite?
I enjoy weight lifting and running. Over head squats are not fun.

7. Have you had one or two challenging CrossFit goals that you've achieved recently? What are your current goals and how close are you to reaching them?
30 lb. Kettle bell swings. I would like to be able to do more push ups.


8. What makes CrossFit different from other fitness programs that you might have tried in the past?
The variety of what it has to offer.


9. What impact has CrossFit Benedictus had on your life, in and out of the gym?
I am overall healthier and I look forward to coming to the workouts. I feel like I can keep up with the grand kids.


10. Tell us about your nutrition and how it has changed, if any, since starting CrossFit.
I eat better than I used to.


11. What advice do you have for others about the importance of the dedication of taking care of yourself, of investing in yourself?
It is worth the time and energy and money required. You need to think about your family and the examples you set for others.


12. What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit or who is thinking about giving it a try?
Don’t give up, it’s hard at first, but you will get better over time. Don’t look at the WOD before signing up, just come and do the best you can.
